Nearly a week after their arrests alongside George Clooney outside the Sudan Embassy, four House members learned on Thursday that the Ethics Committee will not pursue any penalties against them.

Clooney, a noted proponent of human rights for the Sudanese, was arrested along with a handful of lawmakers in Washington this month during protests over the country blocking humanitarian aid, according to the Associated Press

Clooney and the lawmakers have company: In April 2009, five House members were arrested during demonstrations at the Sudan Embassy. In 2006, seven members of the Congressional Black Caucus were arrested.
