More than two years after the cata­stroph­ic BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mex­ico, much of the dam­age re­mains be­low the sur­face. But in­creas­ingly, the mani­fest­a­tions of the largest off­shore oil spill in U.S. his­tory are wash­ing up on the re­gion’s beaches and marshes.
