Army veteran Kevin Strouse (D) is one of three House candidates in the Philadelphia area accused of being a carpetbagger. Strouse, who is challenging Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R), served in the Army before working as an analyst for the CIA in Washington. He moved to his district last year.

Strouse’s campaign, referring to his military service, responded to Fitzpatrick’s attacks by offering “to have a conversation about who has done more to serve our country.”

Physician and Navy veteran Manan Trivedi (D) still does not live in his district and has taken criticism for most of his income coming from Washington. And in New Jersey, Burlington County Freeholder Aimee Belgard (D) has poked fun at former Randolph Mayor Tom MacArthur (R) for recently moving to the district. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
