Burlington County Freeholder Aimee Belgard (D) criticized former Randolph Mayor Tom MacArthur (R) for having investments in Russian oil companies Gazprom and Lukoil, and the Chinese National Offshore Oil Corporation. Belgard argued that MacArthur’s Russian investments could be a conflict of interest as Congress levels economic sanctions against Russia.

Belgard: “Until he divests from these companies, voters should take everything he has to say about energy independence or taking a hard line on Iran with a grain of salt.” (PolitickerNJ)
