Strategists from both parties say Republicans are looking at a five- or six-seat gain and are being held back by a lack of cash and the party’s poor image following last year’s shutdown. Republicans are concerned about weak campaigns by Reps. Steve Southerland (R-FL 02) and Lee Terry (R-NE 02) as well as state House Delegate Barbara Comstock (R-VA) in what should be favorable conditions. And they’re convinced they’ll be outspent by Democrats. Democrats are particularly worried about Reps. Bill Enyart (D-IL 12) and Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH 01). (Politico)
