Ac­cord­ing to a new KSTP-TV/Sur­vey­USA (IVR) poll (Oct. 14-16; 597 LVs; +/- 4.1%), Sen. Al Franken (D) leads busi­ness­man Mike Mc­Fad­den (R) 53-38%. (KSTP-TV)

ON AIR. Mc­Fad­den’s daugh­ter Molly stars in his cam­paign’s latest TV ad. “He really tries, but he’s not very good at this polit­ic­al stuff,” she says. “Prob­lem is, Dad’s su­per hon­est.” (re­lease)

Fuels Amer­ica re­leased a new ra­dio ad prais­ing Franken’s re­cord on re­new­able en­ergy. (re­lease)

In ad­di­tion, the lib­er­al group Al­li­ance for a Bet­ter Min­nesota is launch­ing a “six-fig­ure” ad cam­paign at­tack­ing Mc­Fad­den on Medi­care and So­cial Se­cur­ity. (MPR News)
