After a difficult election for House Democrats, a pair of ousted members spoke up for DCCC Chair Steve Israel (D-NY 02).

“[E]verything we asked for we got, and then some,” said Rep. Tim Bishop (D-NY 01).

Rep. Steven Horsford (D-NV 04), whose loss came as a late surprise, said national Democrats did all they could. “Once the outside money started, it just didn’t stop,” he said. “We were able to basically counter with $500K within a matter of days — and that couldn’t have been done without the leadership of the DCCC.” (The Hill)

BLAME GAME. The DCCC “showed up in [New Jersey’s] CD3 and proceeded to make a mess of [Burlington County Freeholder Aimee] Belgard’s (D) campaign,” said PolitickerNJ. “The ads. The press relations. The bubble-wrapping of the candidate. All of it showed cookie cutter designs on a difficult Third District where — given the history — there was no room for error.” (PolitickerNJ)
