Barragan Becomes Mayor, Immediately Says She'll Resign

Nanette Barragan (D) became mayor of Hermosa Beach during a ceremonial mayor switch Tuesday but immediately said she'll step down from the post July 31 to focus on her campaign. The mayorship rotates among different members of the council. (Beach Reporter)

The other candidates in running in the district are Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Marcus Musante (D), state Sen. Isadore Hall III (D), and Christopher Castillo (R).
