Van Drew Still Not Thinking About Possible Congressional Run

State Sen. Jeff Van Drew (D) cla­ri­fied that he hasn’t made a de­cision on wheth­er to chal­lenge Rep. Frank Lo­Bi­ondo (R) and that he isn’t act­ively con­sid­er­ing it at this time. His state­ment came after Politick­erNJ pub­lished and then de­leted a story cit­ing a single an­onym­ous source sug­gest­ing a single donor prom­ised to back Van Drew with $3 mil­lion.

“I’m very flattered that people have asked, that people from Wash­ing­ton have asked me to run,” Van Drew said. “But I’m most in­volved with do­ing the best job I can as state sen­at­or.” (Shore News Today)
