Will the House Ethics Committee Go Easy on Weiner?

In a statement issued Monday night, Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., accused the president of not being willing to fight.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has formally requested the House Ethics Committee to investigate whether Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., violated House rules. Though Weiner’s image is disgraced and his party refuses to support him, he may find friends on the committee—they have been relatively soft in their last five public investigations.
