White House Would Move Ahead With Pared Health Care Law

The Obama administration will move ahead with major parts of the president’s health care overhaul even if the Supreme Court strikes down the individual mandate, according to the Associated Press on Monday.

Several Democratic sources involved with the legislation told the AP that even if the requirement that individuals have health insurance doesn’t survive a Supreme Court decision, many provisions in the original law, including a major expansion of Medicaid, would move forward.
