The Obama campaign is beefing up its staff with more veterans of the 2008 campaign.
Joe Rospars, who ran the new-media department, will now be the chief digital strategist. Michael Slaby, the original campaign's 2008 chief technology officer, will take the newly created position of chief integration and innovation officer
Rospars, a veteran of Howard Dean's presidential campaign and a founding principal of Blue State Digital, the Democratic new-media behemoth, was on board the Obama bandwagon during the last cycle, overseeing the campaign's online fundraising, mobilization, and grassroots operations.
Slaby, most recently the executive vice president and chair of Edelman's digital practice, also ran communications strategy for Tomorrow Ventures, a venture-capital firm.
