Presidential archivists and historians will have a new category of correspondence to keep track of with the presidency of Barack Obama: the presidential tweet.
This week, the Obama 2012 campaign took over the duties of manning the president's Twitter and Facebook accounts. Updates will likely come from staff for the most part, but when the president does tweet, he will sign the tweet "-BO."
So far, the Twitter account doesn't have any updates with the president's John Hancock, but the profile has been updated and says, "This account is run by #Obama2012 campaign staff. Tweets from the President are signed -BO."
