Two former presidents named George Bush will out throw the ceremonial first pitch at the fourth game of the World Series on Sunday night.
George W. Bush was managing general partner of the Texas Rangers from 1989 to '94. The Rangers are playing the San Francisco Giants in the series. George H.W. Bush will join his son on the mound.
How the two presidents will share the pitching duties remains a mystery. It seems unlikely that the appearance of two Bushes on national television so close to an election will make any difference in votes, but other former presidents have also been in the news lately. Bill Clinton has been actively campaigning for Democrats and Jimmy Carter has been promoting his most recent memoir.
