Facebook's political action committee raised $170,000 in its first three months, according to a Federal Elections Commission filing. The social network created the PAC in late September, but hasn't yet contributed to any federal candidates, Bloomberg News reports.

The majority of contributions to the PAC came from California, most of them addressed to Facebook's Menlo Park, Calif., headquarters, according to the filing.

Notable contributors to the PAC include: former Clinton White House chief of staff and Facebook board member Erskine Bowles; former Clinton White House press secretary and current Facebook spokesman Joe Lockhart; and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Each contributed $5,000. Zuckerberg's contribution was his first federal campaign donation, Bloomberg reports.
