Patricia Wilson is Deputy Editor-in-Chief for National Journal.  Prior to her time at National Journal, Wilson spent three decades at Reuters in Washington as a general news correspondent, desk editor, White House correspondent, political correspondent, editor in charge of politics and domestic policy, and editor in charge of foreign policy and national security.  She has covered eight U.S. presidential elections, four G7 summits, and three APEC summits, and has interviewed four presidents, including President Obama.

Prior to joining Reuters in 1980, Wilson earned a degree in journalism from Queensland University in Australia.  She also worked as a reporter, feature writer, and editor for newspapers in Australia and South Africa.
