Chris Schneidmiller has been editor of Global Security Newswire since April 2009, after serving for more than five years as deputy editor. He leads a team of four journalists that provides original reporting and aggregation on global issues of nonproliferation and weapons of mass destruction.  Prior to his time at GSN, Schneidmiller spent 10 years as a reporter and editor for several daily newspapers, most recently at the former Journal Newspapers Co. near Washington, D.C. He has received several awards for news and feature reporting, and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
