Intellectual Property In A Digital Age

     Intellectual property rights have become increasingly complex as the Internet grows in size and depth around the globe. Courts, lawmakers and scholars must tackle the difficult jurisdictional issues the Web raises while encouraging the creation, ownership and usage of creative works.
     The issue has sparked debate among many powerful industries, often pitting entertainment and technology giants against each other. Opponents feud over reshaping the rules for accessing, storing and manipulating digital content. It is a global debate about the rules for business between entertainment and information companies and their own customers, as well as the technology companies that create gadgets for accessing and manipulating music, movies and other content.
