Internet Manager Under The Public Eye

     The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers manages the system that matches addresses ending in familiar monikers like .com, .net and .org to Internet protocol numbers that deliver Web pages and assure the flow of e-mail messages. While its essential duties are technical in nature, the group makes policy decisions that have had a significant affect on the Internet and that have brought the group intense scrutiny since its creation in 1998.
