National Journal Membership Signs Up 600th Organization

Member Roster Includes Nearly Half of Fortune 100

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 23, 2011 --  Less than six months after National Journal Group officially launched its full-service membership program, National Journal Membership has signed up more than 600 member organizations, including nearly half of the Fortune 100 list.

Member organizations range from single-person advocacy offices to multi-national companies. The list includes a full spectrum of non-profit organizations, activist groups, trade associations, law and lobbying firms, and businesses large and small, all benefiting from National Journal's commitment to 360-degree insight on Washington and unmatched service for public policy professionals.

"With Membership, we have focused like a laser on understanding how our members do their jobs in Washington and how we can make them faster, smarter, and more effective, all with an ethic of unlimited service," said Poppy MacDonald, Vice President at Atlantic Media, Inc., and leader of the National Journal Membership program. "Our members tell us that our combination of platinum-standard journalism, high-utility, customizable resources, and insightful research and briefings hits the sweet spot - serving an unmet need and making them more valuable to their constituents."

"We have focused like a laser on understanding how our members do their jobs in Washington and how we can make them faster, smarter, and more effective."

In the Membership program, all members have unlimited access to all of National Journal's indispensable journalism - including up-to-the-minute breaking news and analysis at NationalJournal.com, the essential congressional intelligence of National Journal Daily, the knowledge and depth of National Journal magazine, and the comprehensive campaign coverage of National Journal Hotline.

In addition, building on National Journal Group Chairman David Bradley's history of success focused on serving the full range of companies' strategic needs, National Journal members have access to an enriched suite of information, briefings, and best-practices research compiled by an independent research staff, all designed to meet the specific needs of public policy professionals. Since the launch of National Journal Membership, members have downloaded customizable briefings, charts, and presentations more than 5,000 times.

Four successful member meetings have already been held, including a second Charter Meeting that was added after overwhelming response to the first. In a survey of attendees after the first Charter Meeting, 98% said they were likely to recommend the meeting to a colleague.
