Most of the late-night comedy Monday night centered on the 85th Academy Awards, including several shows joking about Michelle Obama’s appearance at the Sunday awards show. Stephen Colbert saw the appearance as a move toward government more intervention and Jay Leno saw an opportunity to bring in Joe Biden.

The Daily Show also looked at the cuts coming from the sequester and had correspondent Samantha Bee explain how the sequester is tied to the bucket list. Late Show host David Letterman gave his audience a quick explainer about TSA cuts from it, as well.

Fast forward to 5:00 to see Colbert explain the next steps in “big government out of control” in Hollywood.
