Romney Targets Perry In Interview Ahead Of Debate

Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney took aim at his biggest rival, Rick Perry, in a USA Today interview published Thursday. He portrayed the Texas governor as unelectable, given his stances on Social Security and other issues. If Americans want “someone to go along with what's already in place, I'm sure that Governor Perry is fine. If Americans think America needs a turnaround to make our economy globally competitive again and to create jobs, then I think I'm the better choice,” the former Massachusetts governor told the newspaper. The GOP candidates are scheduled to debate in Orlando, Fla. Thursday night.
