Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., ended his nearly 13-hour filibuster Wednesday, which gave Thursday late-night shows a change to examine it. The Daily Show highlighted Paul’s refueling technique, while Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert looked at the reason Paul was utilizing the filibuster: The Obama Administration’s use of drones.
North Korea’s recent declaration that the hermit kingdom will turn the United States into a “sea of flames” didn’t jibe with Dennis Rodman’s recent trip to the Korean Peninsula, according to Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O’Brien. Kimmel suggested that Rodman make more trips in order to solve the conflict, while O’Brien wondered aloud what exactly Rodman said to Kim Jong-un to make him so angry. Colbert wanted compared the Rodman/Kim summit to the Yalta Conference with a delightful visual gag.
