Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney leads President Obama, 46 percent to 45 percent, among likely voters, a Fox News poll released on Wednesday shows. The lead is within the poll’s margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.
Romney also leads among independents, 44 percent to 32 percent, according to the poll.
The survey, conducted Oct. 7-9, reflects a resurgence in Romney’s prospects following a strong debate performance last week and a reversal of fortune for Obama since a Fox poll conducted Sept. 24-26 showed him leading 48 percent to 43 percent.
