The clever name for the storm that (kind of) hit the Washington region Wednesday made some waves on late-night TV, with Conan O’Brien taking the opportunity to mention that Congress hasn’t gotten anything done lately. On The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert highlighted the use of portmanteaus like “Snowquester.”
On The Daily Show, Jon Stewart brought back jokes on the sequester’s effect on Washington and eventually compared Congress to NASCAR in its efficacy. O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel also had some thoughts on the recently announced decision that the White House will cease tours, due to the sequester. In a surprise, they both felt Joe Biden would feel the pain the most.
