Play of the Day: Look Out, Iranian Military Cats. The Navy Has a Laser.

With the release Wednesday of Barack Obama’s fiscal 2014 budget, Late Night’s Jimmy Fallon is convinced that it’s effective because neither Congressional Republicans or Democrats are warming to it. Fallon wasn’t the only one taking shots at Congress, as Late Show’s David Letterman made fun of John Boehner’s tanning regimen and The Tonight Show’s Jay Leno implied that Congress is lazy.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is the topic that will never die on late night, with Leno talking about China’s conversations with the hermit kingdom over its threats. Conan O’Brien went deep into Kim’s past, while ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel brought in an expert to explain Dick Cheney’s recent comments on the threat.

Stephen Colbert spent part of his show on the Navy’s new weaponized laser. After touting the American military might, Colbert examined the possibility of the laser’s effect on cat pilots. He also mentioned that the United States could now work to destroy the Rebel Alliance, especially those working with the Ewoks.

Fast forward to 4:00 to see Colbert question the efficacy of the laser in Iran.
