Irony Alert: In Iowa, Bachmann Handles Red Meat and Sucks Up at Sukup -- VIDEO

While meeting with manufacturers and meat-packers in Iowa this week, Rep. Michele Bachmann is fitting in some hands-on activities in between her glad-handing.

In Des Moines at Amends Packing Plant on Tuesday, she donned gloves and picked up a cleaver to slice into a cut of red meat:

And on Monday the presidential hopeful and Minnesota Republican toured Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield where the plant did a little show-and-tell of their patented tools. Watch her ooh and aah over pieces of the grain-handling equipment.
