George Romney Discusses the State of America's Electorate (1992) -- VIDEO

In a 1992 episode of the public television program The Open Mind, the late George Romney, onetime Michigan governor and the father of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, talked about the state of American politics.

"I think the people in this country are more fearful about their future than they've been in my lifetime," Romney said.

The elder Romney also discussed how social issues like income inequality, education standards, and destabilization of the family plagued American society at the time.
