Monument Policy Group's Jane Alonso has been promoted to senior vice president.

"Jane has played an invaluable role with the Senate, in particular on a wide range of issues from energy to health care to telecommunications and has helped the firm land significant new business in these growth areas for the firm,” said founder Stewart Verdery in a statement.

Before joining Monument two years ago, she worked as Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins's legislative director and staffed the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that Collins chaired.

The boutique lobbying firm brought in $4.1 million last year, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
