The Political Landscape is a weekly podcast where we discuss the news of the day with leading experts.

This week we’re doing all things Republican convention. Throngs of National Journal staffers were on hand throughout the week, talking to top Republican planners, pollsters and politicians. Our podcast will be broken down into three parts to give you the highlights from each day. First, we’ll hear about Mitt Romney's campaign outreach strategies on both social media and television. Second, we’ll get some clarity on Mitt Romney’s policy platform and his strategy for his first week in office. Finally, we’ll wrap up with a discussion of whether we’ve seen the last of political conventions as we know them today.
