Plouffe: Hillary Clinton 'Would Be a Very Strong Candidate' in 2016

White House adviser David Plouffe said on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday that the immediate goal is to reelect President Obama. But when pressed about speculation that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton could emerge as Democratic presidential candidate in 2016, Plouffe said she would be a solid choice.

“Let’s make sure we reelect the president,” Plouffe said, but he added that, “She would be a very strong candidate.”
