In Ron Suskind's new book, Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington and the Education of a President, one female senior aide said the White House is a difficult workplace for women. “This place would be in court for a hostile workplace,” former White House communications director Anita Dunn is quoted as saying, according to The Washington Post.
For its part, the White House has pushed back against what it has called inaccuracies in the book, but senior adviser Valerie Jarrett confirmed the view that there were tensions. Here's a closer look at prominent female White House staffers:
