From making cookies to hanging garlands, some 400 volunteers assisted with transforming the people's house into a holiday wonderland. The White House on Wednesday released a time-lapse video capturing the transformation. More than 85,000 visitors are expected in the White House this holiday season.

Click through to watch video of the "kosherizing" of the White House kitchen and to see President Obama speak at the Christmas in Washington show at the National Building Museum (along with Conan O'Brien, Jennifer Hudson, and Justin Bieber). Also view photos of the annual Hanukkah reception, and get a peek at Christmas ornaments in the White House.
