White House / COMMERCE

The Commerce Secretary Curse--PICTURES

Commerce Secretary John Bryson, who has just been cited in a hit-and-run felony, isn't the first person in the department to give the Obama White House a headache. Nor is the Obama administration the first to be hit by the Commerce Curse.

Who'll be next? The Obama administration proposed virtually eliminating the department in January, 2012, but that hasn't panned out. For a possible second-term appointment, look to Ron Kirk and others.(Shutterstock)
