The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index for 2011 has just been released and, not surprisingly, Hawaii again ranks #1 for the highest score among the 50 states.

To some of the best and worst states in America click through our slideshow and for more information click here.

1. Hawaii - The Aloha State ranked first in the Gallup-Heathways Well-Being Index, with a score of 70.2.(TOR JOHNSON/PRNewsFoto)

2. North Dakota - The Peace Garden State ranked second with a score of 70.0.(WILL KINCAID/AP)

3. Minnesota - The North Star State ranked third with a score of 69.2.(JIM MONE/AP)

 

4. Utah - The Beehive State scored a 69.0 on the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.(PRNewsFoto)

46. Ohio - The Buckeye State leads the bottom five states in the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index with a score of 64.5.(TOM DEJAK/AP)

 

47. Delaware - George Washington's historic crossing of the Delaware did not even happen in Delaware.  The First State finished fourth from the bottom with a score of 64.2.(MATT ROURKE/AP)

47. Mississippi - The Magnolia State scored a 63.4 on the Gallup-Healtways Well-Being Index.(PRNewsFoto)
