National Christmas Tree Lightings Through the Years -- PICTURES

The lighting of the National Christmas Tree, an 88-year tradition in Washington, is set to continue on Wednesday evening when the Obama family joins crowds, musicians, and celebrities on The Ellipse in President's Park. Take a look in the gallery below to see how this holiday celebration has evolved.
