Highlights from Thursday's National Journal Event

National Journal wrapped up its live-streaming events at the Republican National Convention on Thursday with what National Journal Editorial Director Ron Brownstein called the "Campaign Managers' Summit."

Four top campaign managers and strategists gave some tips for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's acceptance speech on Thursday night and discussed how he and vice presidential pick Paul Ryan must define their campaign moving forward.

The panel also debated whether this was the last convention of its kind. With increasing costs and decreasing poll bumps, conventions are likely to be shortened in coming cycles, the panel concluded.

National Journal's events continue on Sept. 3 at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.
