The legendary dive bar Tune Inn on Capitol Hill was shuttered on June 22 after a fire tore through its kitchen. While employees remain on the bar's payroll, they are not receiving any tip money, which accounts for most of the money that restaurant workers earn. A fundraiser was held on Friday at the American Legion Post on Capitol Hill to raise money for the employees who have seen large parts of their income vanish.

The good news: Tune Inn is slated to reopen in September.
