PICTURES: Pageant Winners Make Political Strides

On Sunday night, Alyssa Campanella of California was crowned Miss USA 2011. Previous winners of Miss USA and the rival Miss America pageant have gone on to make political appearances or make political statements, ranging from lobbying for a piece of legislation to singing at President Obama's inauguration. Here's a look at the political work of some recent winners:
