National Journal’s new series, Live from the Hill, has been busy these past few weeks covering all forms of life on the Hill: from senators to gardeners to congressional witnesses. One sub-group of Hill culture seems to crop up most often—the interns. The reason is the season. Summer breaks from college bring a flood of interns to the Capitol. Though they may come in masses and work for no pay, they are not to be overlooked. In this gallery, we review some of the interns we’ve met. Look closely: These faces may soon be rising.
