Obama’s behavior toward the military was under a close watch this Independence Day. The Fourth fell just short of two weeks after Obama announced his plan to drawdown troops in Afghanistan. On July 3, Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz. and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., visited troops in Afghanistan and called the president’s decision an “unnecessary risk.” We review the day and take a look at how Obama honored the troops and how the troops themselves celebrated Independence Day.
