PICTURES: Congressional Cookout—Lawmakers Attend White House Picnic

The White House holds a series of picnics on the lawn each summer. On Wednesday night, the first family hosted members of Congress. President Obama made brief remarks before the picnic, thanking U.S. military members who were in attendance and lawmakers and their families for their service despite political differences.
