When it comes to dining, President Obama can eat just about anything anywhere. He can foster diplomacy over burgers or in upscale Georgetown restaurants. He can romance Michelle in restaurants with month-long reservation lists or over ice cream as he did during their first kiss at a Chicago Baskin Robbins. We take you around the Washington metropolitan area to the favorite spots of our omnivorous—albeit fit—president.

<p><strong>Kenny's BBQ Smokehouse</strong>: The two local barbers who joined Obama are participating in the new Health and Human Services program "Fatherhood Buzz," designed to reach out to dads with positive information through barbers and barber shops. <p><b>Citronelle:</b> It took Barack and Michelle five months into their first term to steal a night alone. The Obamas spent their first date as first couple at Citronelle, which Conde Nast Traveler called "one of the world's most exciting restaurants." <p><b>Five Guys:</b> On May 29, 2009, Obama surprised lunch goers at Five Guys in Southeast Washington. The president ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, jalapeno peppers, and mustard (no ketchup, Chicago dog style). <p><b>Komi:</b> The Obamas had another date on May 7, 2010, at Komi in Dupont Circle. Komi offers a fixed menu starting at $135 per person (an extra $70 for a wine pairing), though the menu is not printed and is left to the chef’s discretion.
