The Ohio Legislature passed a bill on Thursday limiting the collective-bargaining rights of 350,000 public employees, the Associated Press reported.

The bill will go to Republican Gov. John Kasich's desk and he is expected to sign it by the end of the week. The bill passed the House, 53-44, and narrowly passed the Senate, 17-16.

Safety workers, teachers, nurses, and others will be affected by the measure, the AP reports. Among other things, the measure bans public-employee union members from striking and does away with automatic pay increases.
