President Obama will hold a press conference on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. from the East Room, the White House announced on Tuesday evening.

Obama is likely to make remarks on the ongoing deficit-reduction and debt-ceiling negotiations and face questions on the economy, Libya, Afghanistan, and his reelection campaign.

Not counting joint appearances with international leaders where he has taken some questions, Obama has not held a press conference since March.
