NOAA: Thousands of Temperature Records Broken in March

More than 15,000 temperature records were broken in the United States last month, making it the warmest March on record in the contiguous United States, according to the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration.

Below is a NOAA animation of the daytime and nighttime locations of the places in the United States where the records were broken.
