Script of "Desert" (TV)

TOM UDALL: People in Washington think New Mexico is nothing but desert.

They don't think about our people and our jobs. That's why when Cannon Air Force Base in my district was threatened, I worked with Governor Richardson and Senators Domenici and Bingaman to keep it open.

And that's why I voted for funding to expand the mission of Los Alamos to create new jobs in counter-terrorism and energy research.

I'm Tom Udall and I approve this message because we have to do what's right for New Mexico.
