Script of "What We Need" (TV)

TOM ALLEN [v/o]: We can see it all across Maine, the devastating effect of the Bush economic policies.

(Text on screen: "Worst Crisis Since '30s, With No End Yet In Sight"; "Sour economy hits paper mills, small-town workers"; "Voters worried by Wall Street crisis")

I voted against the Bush economic policies because I believed they were unfair and would hurt Maine families.

Some people have already lost jobs. Others are afraid they may lose a job in the future.

What we need is an economic policy that focuses on the middle class and supports small business instead of the super-wealthy.

We fix America's broken economy by changing the leadership in Washington.

I'm Tom Allen, and I approve this message.
