Former Rep. Patrick Toomey (R) said he plans to harness the energy of the Tea Party movement in the general election and credits the activists with making a difference in the Massachusetts Senate race that went to Republican Scott Brown . "And Pennsylvania is a lot more conservative than Massachusetts," Toomey told the New York Times. He will likely face Democrat Arlen Specter, who hopes to hold onto the seat after switching parties last year.
