Script of "Divert" (TV)

LARRY LAROCCO: The topic is the same around every kitchen table: the meltdown of our economy, retirements tanking, our futures uncertain.

My opponent, Jim Risch, has opened the door to a risky scheme to privatize Social Security.

He advocated diverting payroll taxes, taking Social Security and investing it in Wall Street schemes, ending retirement security as we know it.

I am dead set against privatizing Social Security.

I'm Larry LaRocco, and I'm proud to have approved this message.
